Zdeňka Součková

Zdeňka SOUČKOVÁ

After graduating from the secondary pedagogical school she studied puppetry at DAMU. Since 1967 she cooperated with her husband in the management of the children’s singing group RADOST PRAHA and its preparatory departments. In 1990 she founded the boys’ choir PUERI GAUDENTES, which became a renowned ensemble within a few years.
Zdeňka Součková was awarded the “František Lýsek Award” for her long-standing work as a choirmaster.
For her cultural contribution to the Municipal District of Prague 7 she was awarded the HONOURARY CITIZENSHIP of Prague 7 in 2005.
In 2016, she was awarded the “Medal of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Czech Republic, 1st degree” for her long-term outstanding pedagogical activity in the field of art education. In the same year, she was also awarded the “Bedřich Smetana Award” for her lifetime of successful choirmaster activities.

  

Vladimír Souček

Ing. Vladislav SOUČEK

He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University, worked as a university and high school teacher and taught for many years at an elementary art school as a choirmaster. In 1961 he founded the children’s choir RADOST PRAHA. His rich musical activities brought him the “František Lýsek Award”. He worked for many years in the presidency of the Main Committee of the Union of Czech Choirs.
In 2005 he was awarded the HONOURARY CITIZENSHIP of Prague 7 for his long-standing work as a choirmaster in the Prague 7 district.
In 2007 he was awarded the “Bedřich Smetana Award” for his lifetime of successful choirmaster activities.
In 2016, he was awarded for his long-term outstanding pedagogical activity in the field of artistic education with the “Medal of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Czech Republic 1st degree” and for his educational activity he also received the “Medal of General Vojta” from the Sokol Královské Vinohrady.
